Liam Riddler + Alex Bolderoff’s Diary: Day Four

Liam Riddler and Alex Bolderoff, a young creative team from 303Lowe, are competing in the Digital category of the Cannes Young Lions competition.

The best way to kill a hangover is to win silver in the Young Lion’s comp.

After finishing yesterdays 24 hour brief we headed over to the Young Lion party. We met many young and keen creatives over a number of beers and dance moves. P-Diddy also made a flash appearance on stage with some very expensive looking sunglasses (at night time) and an entourage of security guards.

When the party finished a few of us snuck into the Gala party which was full of oldies and more dance moves. Then, all of a sudden we woke up with killer hangovers.

A few hours later we were awarded silver in the Young Lion’s comp. Russia took the gold, Hungary bronze. The New Zealand judge (sorry didn’t catch your name because we were pretty nervous) made a joke about how “tough it was” for him to award an Australian team. And the work was judged by the Cyber Jury led by Bob Greenberg from R/GA in London. Pretty cool huh?

The rest of the day consisted of some interviews, press photos and Alex made a towel celebrating the win at Google beach. And now we’re about the repeat last night.
