Diet Coke is celebrating 30 years with a steaming hot spot reminiscent of the 1997 ‘Window Washer’ commercial. ‘Gardener’, via BETC London, stars British model Andrew Cooper as the new Diet Coke Man.
The spot was debuted via Facebook, and fans can follow Diet Coke on Pinterest.com/DietCoke and Instagram @DietCokeGallery for exclusive behind the scenes images of their sexy new Hunk.
The spot was written by Clive Pickering and art directed by Neil Dawson, and directed by Rocky Morton via MJZ.

Horrific.
Someone stamp my passport, i just entered ‘Boner Town’….
There’s a distinct similarity with this spot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skWFyop_pxU Nothing new.
In the Case Common sense vs. ‘there’s only sexism in ads at women’ we humbly submit article B the following god awful piece of shit.
The defence would also like to note that it makes the women look just as clueless.
Am I the only one that draws this conclusion: All female diet coke drinkers are complete morons because they throw soft drink cans at lawn mowers for fun. Perhaps it’s Diet BrainFunction they’re selling.
It’s not that similar at all. But if it was, it would have been an improvement.
I can see the brief now. ‘We want something like window washer, but make the product more integral to the story.’
I must be getting old.
All I can think about is how bad it must feel to be covered in Coke and lawn clippings, almost like the modern equivalent of being tarred and feathered.
Client: “Research has shown, that 92% of women like cock, with the remaining 8% liking rubber cocks.”
Agency: “So can we just show a big cock in our ad?”
Client: “Too obvious.”
Agency: “Ok, what if we showed someone that looked like a cock?”
Client: “Genius. We’ll start casting cocks on Monday. I want to be there.”
