Renowned digital executive Lord will be based in KOJO’s Melbourne office to build its presence across content, digital and post-production services.

KOJO’s events team has been based in Melbourne for the past eight years and built a national reputation as an industry leader in that time. KOJO is also currently in discussions to establish a Sydney office.

With over 11 years as a leader in the Australian digital industry, Lord was instrumental in building Next Digital into one of the country’s largest and most successful digital agencies.

Says Dale Roberts, KOJO managing director: “Stephen has real strategic digital pedigree and will be a great asset to KOJO as we grow our business nationally.

“We are looking to continually build on the creative storytelling firepower we offer our clients including creative agencies, government, film and the corporate sector.

Stephen’s industry experience and ecommerce knowledge will be instrumental in that.”

KOJO currently has work in production across Australia and overseas including two feature films, an international television series, multiple digital projects and television commercials as well as staging a series of live events nationally.

Says Roberts: “Stephen will initially be focussed on integrating our digital, content and post production capabilities into our current service offering in Melbourne and Sydney.

“He will be working closely with our national creative director Mike Wilson, head of digital Emma Rhys and head of events Daniel Tippett.”

Lord’s appointment comes as KOJO is in the midst of the busiest quarter in its 21-year history.

Says Lord: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a dynamic and innovative team at KOJO. Not only does KOJO have an outstanding foundation in creative storytelling, it has the technology and expertise at its disposal to reach audiences across any communication medium.

“From TV screens, to film screens, mobile screens or event screens KOJO has a reputation for making stories that connect.”

KOJO specialises in content, digital, events and post-production with offices in Adelaide and Melbourne as well as a growing presence in Sydney and Perth.
