Lateral Aspect, Perth tests boxer dog’s willpower in latest spot for lamb brand Valley Spring
Perth creative agency Lateral Aspect has created a TVC for lamb brand Valley Spring, producing the spot in Melbourne with Rocket Surgery Films Director/Producer Team of Ian Reiser and Justin Bardolph.
‘Boxing Day Test’ is a humorous look at the test of willpower between a beautiful lamb roast and a young, hungry Boxer dog. The ad follows Lateral’s last red meat spot ‘Rump’, which was a finalist at the FAB International Creative Excellence Awards in London.
Says Lateral Aspect creative director Mark Lucas: “The decision to do the production in Victoria was both a chance to work with an exciting production crew and consider business opportunities.
“We’ve been doing bits and pieces in Melbourne and talking to Rocket Surgery about this job for some time. Our creative structure means we can be anywhere and over the past few years a lot of our work has been overseas, doing rebranding and project work in multiple countries for clients and in conjunction with other agencies. Now we’re keen to have a look at resourcing or JV’ing with Victorian agencies that may need a WIWO creative team or individual,” Lucas said.

Awesome.
Love it and I don’t even eat meat….
More overused cliches than you can poke a fetched stick at, yet it’s so charmingly done you can’t help but forgive them for it.
Very funny.
Seriously , It’s been done so many times before and while i do like Boxers, it gets the raised finger from me.
Its good.
And I bet you its budget was smaller than ‘Tired of this crap’s’ dick…
Which would be tiny.
Nice work.
128,791,118 people watched “ultimate dog tease” on youtube. I guess this ad appeals to those that didn’t.
Yes, that’s what thumbs are for!
Lay off the haterade
The thinnest of ideas masquerading as the feeblest of jokes. But nicely done – apart rom the roast, which looks underdone. Would work better if the Boxing Day Super appeared at the start of the ad. Apart from those minor concerns, it’s great.
Who is doing the voice over? Miss the Ritchie Benaud voice.
