HEAD launches ‘The Ultimate Speed Challenge’ with Novak Djokovic via Believe Advertising
PR, marketing and events agency, Believe Advertising, has created the ultimate speed challenge for Novak Djokovic for HEAD’s world wide launch of its new HEAD Graphene Speed tennis racquet that took place in Melbourne on Friday 11 January 2013.
Djokovic, the top-ranked ATP star, showcased the benefits of his new HEAD Graphene Speed tennis racquet by hitting a HEAD ATP tennis ball that travelled faster than an Audi R8 LMS GT3 race car, driven by Australian GT racecar driver, Dean Grant, at Melbourne’s Sandown racetrack.
Always jovial, Djokovic waited anxiously on the track after the green flag was waved to signal the start of the ultimate speed challenge. As the Audi R8 sped towards Djokovic, he simultaneously served the ball. The ball crossed the finish line with split seconds to spare before the race car followed as Djokovic applauded his new racquet, leaving Djokovic undefeated once again.
Says Adrian Falk, director of Believe Advertising: “I’m thrilled to have worked on this project for HEAD and be chosen as the agency to create, implement and manage its PR for the company’s worldwide launch of HEAD’s new Graphene Speed tennis racquet. I wanted to create a concept for HEAD’s launch that was unique, fun for Novak to be involved in that would also generate international media exposure.”
The PR stunt went global instantly with it receiving a tremendous amount of exposure not only from national media outlets, but also internationally including ESPN and Yahoo worldwide along with social media channels.
Says Falk: “After celebrating our 10th year last year, it’s great to kick off 2013 with an event of this scale.”
Over the past 10 years Believe Advertising has been responsible for launching into Australia FURLA Italy, Pilgrim Danish Design, VODKA O, Heidi Klum’s range of Birkenstocks and Otazu Jewellery.

Brilliant idea. Surprised it hasn’t been done before by a sporting brand. Particularly one with a real link between the brands.
Oh wait.

I hate this because it’s shit.
Wow. And in Australia, to boot. Oops.
Fault! What a missed opportunity. Nice car and good tennis player, surely more could have been made of it.
