Ice Break settles ‘Kung Fu vs Sci-Fi’ debate part of ongoing drag race campaign via The Monkeys
Following on from the Guitar Solo vs. Drum Solo showdown earlier this month, Ice Break have dialed things up again by drag racing two more customised cars to settle the awaited epic debate of ‘Kung Fu vs Sci-Fi’ via The Monkeys.
Ice Break customised two classic Australian muscle cars, one representing the ass-kicking nunchuck-swinging genre of Kung Fu (a 1972 V8 LJ Torana 308 V8 Auto) and the other representing the light saber spinning Klingon nerdery of Sci-Fi (a 1975 Falcon XB Coupe 351 V8 4 Speed Manual) and sent them down the quarter mile at Sydney’s Eastern Creek Dragway to settle things once and for all.
Ice Break Facebook fans were involved every step of the way helping to make key decisions. There were over 1,000 requests for modifications on the cars and over 4,000 comments on which car fans thought would ‘kick ass’ the most.
The Kung Fu Torana, or Bruce as it’s known to the fans, features an impressive arsenal of ninja stars and samurai swords, and boasts more shiny martial arts trophies than the Cobra Kai. The exterior paintwork comprises yellow and black stripes with accompanying dragon motif, as an homage to Bruce Lee’s iconic jumpsuit in ‘Game of Death’.
The Sci-fi XB Coupe, or Hal to its Ewok friends, comes replete with the obligatory flux capacitor in the boot, some rather large toxic gas canisters, and a console bursting with X-wing style weapon switches. The Kubrick-esque white leather interior is neatly complimented by the gun metal exterior paint job and glowing Kit-style grill.
Ice Break drinkers are also able to win both of the muscle cars simply by purchasing a bottle from the Ice Break range which includes Ice Break, Ice Break Extra Shot and Ice Break No Added Sugar in Ice Break’s ‘Win A Muscle Car’ promotion.
