The Good Guys launch brand new tablet-optimised site via digital agency Rodeo
The Good Guys is Australia’s first major retailer to launch a tablet-optimised site, with the release of a new site adapted for Android, iPad and Blackberry operating systems via digital agency Rodeo. This comes on the back of the retailer’s highly successful mobile platform that was launched in November 2011.
The site includes e-commerce capability allowing customers to browse and compare products before purchasing. It also directs customers to their nearest The Good Guys store.
Says Michael Ford, The Good Guys CEO: “Rodeo has worked with us to deliver an exceptional user experience specifically designed to view on a tablet. The features of the site include the ability to tab and slide with an easy path to researching products or purchasing online.”
Says Aaron Tobin, Rodeo general manager: “To meet the needs of The Good Guys, who were looking to optimise their site for the growing number of tablet users in their customer base, we worked with them to create a site that would deliver a world class user experience.”
Rodeo’s previous work for The Good Guys includes design and development of the retailer’s mobile site, and the creation of a bespoke dynamic banner generator that updates product and price information in The Good Guys display advertising in real time.
