Kill the version with the actor voice-over trying to sound Aussie-blokey.
this is the ‘brand’ spot? … yikes.
Really like the 60 with the original voices. Just go with that.
Ditch the client one! Charming ad.
The 60″ really nails what people (my family) in the outback are like. Good work, will be appreciated.
Not good at all mate.
Disagree. 45 is much funnier. And more in keeping with country humour. The 60 feels more like it was designed with city-folk in mind, they’re taking the piss out of the only place they’ve ever lived. Not funny if you have lived there all your life and never travelled.
Nice spots tho. Won’t see hem at the award shows this year but a few larrikans in country Australia will get a chuckle out of them.
oh what a yawn
Just another day in George St!
Farmers don’t burn sugar cane anymore. That stopped 10 years ago.
How the Saatchi has fallen!
Fave aus car ad of this year. nice way to portray the outback.
This was Marlboro country.
All the puffery, all the pledges….
Truly awful. So who was responsible for these lame gags?
credits please
This is Mediocre Country.
“This is Landcruiser Country”
Jesus, someone struck gold with that line / thought. But why are the ads so fucking boring?
Maybe they should have done something similar to the old Hilux press ads from a decade or so ago – the campaign with the ugly, toothless, hard-faced farmers created by Fergus Flemming and Richard Grisdale (check your D&ADs kiddies).
I reckon someone at Saatchis will realise the true potential of this campaign and do something great with it.
