Goodoil Films launches brand new digital production company Goodstuff
Goodoil Films announces the launch of their new digital production company Goodstuff.
Goodstuff is the marriage of storytelling and digital under one roof. Directors and innovative digital specialists brought together to make engaging and unique work.
Says Sam Long, Goodstuff MD: “For a few years now we have been observing work and listening to conversations surrounding digital work in this part of the world. While there are some outstanding examples in Australia, a general comment is that there is a lack of good stories being told in the digital space.
“With this in mind, Goodstuff has combined storytelling talent with digital specialists and production expertise to produce new and engaging narrative work, wherever that narrative needs to live.”
“We will tell stories in interactive, augmented reality and social experiments with the ability to use our partners’ unique digital technology, as well as working in live action and experiential.”
Goodstuff will be representing globally established directorial talent in the digital space including SXSW 2012 ‘Best of Show’ and ‘Experimental’ winner creative writer/director Jason Zada for “Take This Lollipop” & SXSW 2012 ‘Business’ winner Matt Ogens for ‘Craftsman SCREW*D’. Matt has also earned three Emmy nominations for his work on ESPN. Goodstuff will also represent the directorial talent of the Goodoil roster.
Goodstuff has a host of offerings, including highly awarded digital creative partner Resn out of New Zealand and specialist augmented reality and game development house Explore Engage, as well as, the support and production expertise of Goodoil Films.

Finally someone is reading the writing on the wall. A dedicated new media production company is both exciting and sorely needed.
Look forward to seeing the work that comes out of these guys.
Ps. – take my lollipop was as brilliant as it was creepy.
Keen to see what these guys get up to. Some very cool digital work already…
Yep, clever shift there Sam.
Good stuff.
Cheaper. With websites and apps and stuff. Good? Hmmm, for whom?
‘Wherever narrative needs to live’ indeed. It needs to live in a budget about one tenth of what it needed to live in two years ago.
Don’t most production companies cover this already?
We have been waiting for this kinda brushstroke for a while now …
Matt & Jason are like royalty in this space and their work has certainly turned heads in the office over the past while.
Lollipop was indeed creepy … but so tight and clever…
Nice work guys…
The words ” … Watch this space …. ” might be appropriate here
Don’t you think ?
GmBL.
Go kill it guys. You are already competitive in a tough market, this will help your edge.
Be smart, move fast, do good work.
See you around the corner.
Onya Fergus, and good one Goodoil: first in, best served.

Nice one Ferg!!!!! Get amongst it!!!!!
How is this any different to the digital arms that almost all production companies have had for some time now? Good for Good Oil for finally jumping on the bandwagon.
Well done Goodstuff & Fergus!
Looks dope.
