NATIONAL-STORAGE.JPGBrisbane-based Reload Media has launched a new social media campaign for client National Storage that uses a created online character to make its storage solution products and services more appealing and accessible to its customers than ever before.

Aimed at taking the face-to-face in-store consumer experience online, Reload Media created ‘Nate Story’- National Storage’s own dedicated Social Media Community Manager and has now structured its entire online social media platform around him.

The campaign rollout will feature a number of webisodes that introduce the character as well as a dedicated presence on National Storage’s social media channels, which include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+.

“We wanted our online strategy to replicate the positive experiences that customers have in the National Storage facilities,” said Reload Media general manager, Craig Somerville. “By creating Nate Story, who is a friendly and approachable character, we have given a face to the brand that allows us to connect on a more human level with our customers than previously possible.

“As you will see in the fun and light hearted webisodes we have put together, Nate’s office is an interactive storage container and it has a number of customizable elements to it that will change over time.

“For example our first promotion, ‘Store a Memory’, allows customers to select one of their favourite Facebook photos and have their very own National Storage postcard mailed to them. Maybe if Nate likes one it will end up on his office wall in a future webisode- anything is possible!”

According to National Storage Director, Mike Berry, the brief required Reload Media to generate a digital strategy that communicated National Storage’s key messages while providing a way to effectively differentiate its products within the marketplace.

“Traditionally, we offer a product that is infrequently purchased as people generally don’t look for storage solutions unless they are moving. The Nate Story concept allows us to add some personality to our online brand while keeping our product offering top of mind.”
