CUB launches Carlton Draught ‘Draught Pick’ app via Clemenger BBDO Melbourne
Carlton United Brewers and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne have created the innovative Carlton Draught ‘Draught Pick’ app. Or, as it is more succinctly known, the game within a game. Within a phone. Within a pub.
Officially endorsed by the AFL, Draught Pick is a mobile game that lets footy fans interact live with every AFL match and challenge their mates, challenge their pub, or even challenge Australia.
The game includes tipping, trivia, half time polls and elements to test blokes’ true footy instincts. The games count towards contests, which will award prizes each round and will culminate in a Grand Final prize package. The app will aggregate players’ scores into several customisable leader boards, including your friends, your team or the rest of the country. The app also contains a ‘Draught Finder’, which shows you the nearest pub where brewery fresh Carlton Draught is served.
The campaign will also feature 25 ‘home grounds’ – pubs where people can play against other patrons for that game and win prizes on the night.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Managing Partner, Paul McMillan, says: “Draught Pick taps right into the natural competitiveness that exists between blokes – especially when it comes to their knowledge of footy. “Draught Pick takes the competitiveness of footy tipping to a whole new level.”
Draught Pick will be supported by print, TV, radio, social media and in pubs. It can be downloaded from the iTunes app store.
