Wieden+Kennedy’s Nick Barham will present master class on Thursday 29th March at ‘Circus’
Nick Barham, global director of Wieden and Kennedy’s (W+K) Tomorrow is set to present a Master Class at ‘Circus’, the Festival of Commercial Creativity, The Communications Council confirms today.
Barham is an authority on innovation in business, helping W+K explore new business directions. At the moment, he’s working at the intersection of emerging technology and sustainability with brands like Nike, Intel and Levi’s, as well as with Portland schools and urban sustainability programs. Barham is also instrumental in managing PIE (the Portland Incubator Experiment) which is a start-up work space and incubator within Wieden + Kennedy.
Barham’s Master Class will identify the new creative spaces that are opening up for brands and their agencies, questioning the way they are working now. Cultural shifts like increasing data, sustainability, start-up cultures and even social movements are looked at to glean insight into new avenues of marketing. The Class will cover Wieden + Kennedy’s own experiments in these areas and the company’s successful campaigns such as the recent Superbowl advertisement for Chrysler.

Barham will speak on Day Three (Thursday March 29) of the three-day programme at Circus, Carriageworks, Sydney, heading a line-up of speakers and Master Class speakers that includes Google’s Tom Uglow, Frost Design’s Vince Frost, Jurlique’s Rosanna Iacona, Ausfilm’s Debra Richards, BBH’s directors Nick Kendall and Kevin Brown, Target US’ David Plante.
