Emerald City welcomes director Franco Marinelli
Emerald City, a production company specialising in design and VFX, has announced that director Franco Marinelli has joined the team.
Marinelli is based in Australia but has directed hundreds of commercials for markets all over the world including epic campaigns for clients such as Coca Cola, Microsoft, Sony, Walmart, Reebok, Ford, Emirates Airlines and various global Tourism Boards.
Known as a visual storyteller, his innovative techniques have garnered a multitude of advertising awards highlighted by a World Gold Medal at the New York Festivals.
Says Emerald City executive producer, Jason Burrows: “Franco and the Emerald post production team have developed a great working relationship over the last few years so it’s brilliant that we’re now also going to work with him in a production capacity!”.
Both Burrows and Marinelli are big believers in the creative advantages of having production and post under the one roof.
Says Marinelli: “The logistical advantages of having a world class design and VFX team to work with in-house are enormous. I’m very excited about the work that we’ll be doing together as it opens up a whole new realm of creative possibilities.”
