Leo Burnett Sydney hires new senior talent in account management, strategic planning, shopper marketing and talent management roles

Leo 3.jpgWith a strong start to the year, Leo Burnett Sydney has recently bolstered up the team with four senior appointments.

Shopper marketing expert, Karen Bowie has joined Leo Burnett as head of shopper marketing. With over 14 years experience in the FMCG industry, Bowie has worked for a number of multinational manufacturers both locally and in the US. Most recently she was with Reckitt Benckiser where she worked for five years in various sales positions. Prior to working for Reckitt Benckiser, Bowie held account management and sales analytics roles at companies including Ferrero, Gillette and Nestle.

Another new face at Leo Burnett is Paul Spriggs, group business director. Spriggs has over 20 years experience with roles at Fallon in New York and as regional account director at JWT. Spriggs has also held senior roles client side at Unilever and has run his own brand consultancy.

Mathieu Dauner has recently been appointed to the position of strategist. Dauner has over seven years experience working in the US at R/GA and Ogilvy New York on brands like Unilever, Nike, and DHL.

Rounding out the appointments is Sarah Palmer who returns from maternity leave to her new role as head of talent management. With her career in advertising spanning over 18 years, Palmer’s focus is on Leo Burnett’s first priority, its people. Her responsibilities include leading the agency’s performance management, career development and training programs like the ‘People with Impact’ series.
