LG promotes its new Cinema 3D Smart TV with new spot via George Patterson Y&R, Sydney
CB Exclusive – GPY&R Sydney have created a cinema spot for LG claiming four out of five people prefer the LG 3D TV over leading competitors.
The new spot evolved from a comparison test conducted in shopping centers across the country where more than 4000 people were asked to trial the LG Cinema 3D TV against a competitor¹s LED 3D TV and vote for the one they preferred. With the majority preferring the LG 3D TV, the new execution takes the point of view of the one who didn¹t with surprising results.
LG LED 47″ LW6500 preferred in unbranded tests over Samsung 46″ LED 6600
or Sony 46″ LED EX720, TNS Global survey, October 2011. LED TVs combine LCD
screens with LED backlights.

Naa!
Lazy casting. That’s the same dude that’s in those awful GIO ads at the moment.
He’s very funny. Funnier still is that kid on the piano.
I’ve worked with unicorns before and I know how hard it is to get them to stand still. Good work. Nice spot.
Great way to turn around the sad old statistics we always wrestle with. The clinical styling was well done, took the edge off the puppies. Good idea and just sacchrine enough.
Ha! That’s very funny.
Not sure why the brief wouldn’t be about the actual TV though, but that’s an excellent job of making a stat interesting.
ha cool I really like this!
“I hate unicorns” is genius.
Great style, elegant and funny well done!
Sweet spot good design and casting.
Love the Kubrick style!!!
Lol ‘I hate Unicorns’ gold
Put it in your book.
(Because no one else will)
A dry prop a very clever solution. Funny as hell. Like.
Ooo I like it, I do!
A cantankerous balding man and a unicorn selling tellies. Very amusing.
That’s far better than most of the shite that goes to air in this category….well done boys and girls
To good for a retail add
Love that pic of the girl on the bike, looks like the old Chicko Roll ads from when I was a lad.
This is very funny and strange too.
What’s happening with LG, suddenly they make great work?
Amusing and nice looking as far as it goes, it still avoids the hard issue of 3D TV in general. Claiming 4 out of 5 of a segment that very few are persuaded to get into is embellishing a very small truth.
Boring stats nicely translated.
I’m with Huh?
Great spot. Witty, stylish!
