Steve Hey, Dyan-Soopramania-web.jpgCB Exclusive – In a move that reportedly raised the hackles of DDB Sydney executive creative director Dylan Harrison, SapientNitro Sydney has snared up-and-coming creative team Steve Hey and Dylan Soopramania.

The English duo served stints at Momentum and Naked prior to joining DDB where they were the lead team on Red Cross and Blood Service.

Marty Greguric-web.jpgSays SapientNitro Sydney creative director Skip Waterhouse, “The boys were exaclty what we were looking for. They’re not only great blokes, but they have amazing creative depth, from digital to old-school, and with Volvo being one of our major clients, their Audi experience was a big bonus. But the major seal of approval came when I heard that Dylan (Harrison) got really pissed off when they resigned. It’s the best kind of reference there is.”

Says Hey: “It’s not that we weren’t happy at DDB, it’s just that Skip and Paul (Bennett) made it clear that the job was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”

Waterhouse also strengthened his department with the hiring of ex The White Agency writer Marty Greguric (left) at the end of last year, to work with Pete Defries and Alex Addlem.
