OMD brings in Grant Baxter from UK for SEO director role on new business wins including T.A.
Sydney-based OMD has announced the appointment of Grant Baxter as SEO director working across a ream of new business wins including Tourism Australia.
Baxter was previously head of search at specialist natural search and social media agency Tamar in London.
He was instrumental in redefining Tamar’s SEO product and in creating a content offering that enabled the agency to be less reliant on paid linking.
Baxter brings a solid understanding of what is required to successfully define an SEO product in a mature market and is a solid recruit for OMD who have grown their search offering from zero to twelve employees in the space of a year.
Says Paul Elliott, head of digital at OMD: “We did a global search to find the best candidate; Grant was selected for the experience he will bring to our market due to his track record in developing unique SEO strategies”.
Baxter said of his appointment: “I’m looking forward to working with Paul and the team to enhance OMD’s SEO offering. The opportunity to work across OMD’s unrivalled client list in a rapidly developing market was one that I jumped at”.
Baxter will be based in Sydney and will report to Paul Elliott.
