Unilever’s Peter Boone and Fairfax Digital’s Jane Huxley join Caxton Seminar speaker line-up

Screen shot 2011-09-26 at 6.30.54 PM.jpgScreen shot 2011-09-26 at 6.31.12 PM.jpgPeter Boone, Vice President Marketing at Unilever Australia and Jane Huxley, Digital Publisher at Fairfax Media’s Metro Media division will join the impressive line-up of highly respected senior figures from the advertising, marketing and communications industries who will address delegates at next month’s Caxton Seminar and Awards 2011 at the stunning Chateau Elan in the Hunter Valley, a new luxury 5-star resort located on The Vintage golf course.

Boone joined Unilever in 1996 as strategy analyst with key responsibility to support the development of an aggressive growth agenda for the foods business in Latin America and spreads category globally. In between 1998 and 2003, he worked as marketing and new venture director on two of Unilever’s foods brands in the Netherlands, Blue Band and Bertolli.

In 2003, he became Vice President Marketing & Sales Latin America Foods Solutions, based in Sao Paulo. He led portfolio and customer development for all food product lines in out-of-home channels within Latin America for brands such as Hellmann ́s, Knorr, Arisco, Lipton, and Carte d ́Or. He was appointed to his current position in Australia in November 2010.

Jane Huxley was appointed to the newly-created position of Digital Publisher in March this year after spending two years as General Manager of Fairfax Digital. In her new role, Huxley is responsible for leading Fairfax’s product, mobile and online business strategies and oversees the technology, digital marketing and editorial and creative services divisions within Metro Media.

Prior to joining Fairfax three years ago, she was briefly in a senior product role at Vodafone, after spending 16 years at Microsoft where she was Director of Office and Windows.

Last week the Caxton Committee confirmed Jon Kamen, the visionary film producer and founder of one of the world’s most respected content companies, @radical.media, as the international keynote speaker at the Caxton Seminar and Awards 2011.

The 2011 Caxton Seminar and Awards will be held from October 27-29. Delegates will convene at the stunning Chateau Elan in the Hunter Valley, a new luxury 5-star resort located on The Vintage golf course.
