Eddie Perfect headlines APG Night of Comedy at Richmond Public House, Melbourne – August 24

eddie.jpgLooking at the craft of comedy, Eddie Perfect (left) joins leading comedians Kate McLennan and Dan Ilic to take a closer look at how they make ‘funny’, at the APG Night of Comedy on 24 August in Melbourne. Free for APG & AWARD members.

 

With years of combined experience in standup comedy, TV, theatre and commercial productions, Eddie, Kate and Dan bring to the evening their insights into the conventions and magic of using comedy to entertain and inform.

Says APG Chairman Sudeep Gohil: “Humour plays a critical role in brand messaging, particularly in Australia. The goal of our APG Night of Comedy is to get insights on how humor works in different media and how you can best apply it in your communications. We have some great comedians joining us for the event, it will definitely be both relevant and entertaining for all marketing people.”

 

Eddie Perfect is a multi-award winning comedian, writer, actor and musician known for his satirical edge. His solo comedy shows “Angry Eddie” and “Drink Pepsi Bitch!” have toured nationally and internationally, picking up a gambit of awards. Eddie is currently touring his new solo comedy show, Misanthropology, a dark music comedy about the failures and limitations of the human race. His TV credits include Offspring, Kath and Kim, Stingers, Blue Heelers, MDA, Spicks And Specks, ABC TV’s Stand Up, The Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala, Good News Week and ABC TV’s Sideshow.

Pictukate 2re 1.jpgKate McLennan has gained a reputation as one of Australia’s funniest ladies, most notably working as a character comedian on The Mansion for the Comedy Channel, Ben Elton’s Live from Planet Earth and the 2009 Logies ‘Road to Gold’ sketches. Kate’s award-winning one-woman stage show, The Debutante Diaries, was nominated for a Barry Award in the 2007 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, won Best Newcomer and Best Comedy at 2006 Melbourne Fringe. Kate has also performed at various Melbourne International Comedy Festival events such as Upfront, The Comedy Festival Roadshow, Big Laugh Out and Comedy Club for Kids.

  

dan.jpgDan Ilic is an Australian comedian, writer, performer, actor, broadcaster, and filmmaker. He is best known for his work on the sketch comedy TV show The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, and writing and performing in Beaconsfield: The Musical. Dan is also a reporter/presenter on the ABC show Hungry Beast. Dan is also a reporter/presenter on the ABC show Hungry Beast. Dan also works on Channel 10’s Can of Worms and has created campaigns for Commbank, TAC and Honda.
