EYE hosts sky high Mercedes Fashion Festival catwalk show on Glebe Island Silos billboard site
Out-of-Home media company EYE hosted a ‘seriously fashionable’ catwalk show in association with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney, on their iconic Glebe Island Silos inbound billboard site, on Sydney’s Anzac Bridge.
On a catwalk suspended a jaw-dropping seven stories above the ground, three courageous models strutted their stuff along the 200 metre ‘runway’ during rush hour traffic.
The event follows an announcement made last week that EYE has retained the advertising rights for the Glebe Island Silos.
Says Leonie Collins – general manager, marketing, EYE: “As Australia’s most iconic advertising site, the Glebe Island Silos offer perfect synergy with fashion, delivering a powerful and emotive advertising solution for brands who want to get noticed. We are really proud to sponsor Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney and be part of such an exciting event.”

I just don’t get this. Who, in their car, even if it was gridlock, would make the connection? What a seven storey waste of money.
Who the hell would know what was going on? Utter bollocks.
Missing some copy:
“Hey! People in cars! Look up here! Models and shit! Buy a Mercedes!”
Its a powerful and emotive advertising solution….derrr.
If they were actually doing the Thriller dance, maybe that would have helped. Do, doo do dooo do doop. Do dooo do doo do doop.
