Saw this last night and thought that someone should have shot the art director. There’s nothing wrong with the insight, but seriously guys, that look went out in the 90’s.
yikes. print is better than the telly.
Agree.. Print is good.
TVC is woeful
12.32, where the fuck was this look in the 90’s? And no, I don’t work for the Monkeys.
I don’t mind it.
What a hideous looking commercial, i agree with 12.32.
Good idea but agree the Art Direction is a bit out there. Why wouldn’t you base it in reality?
Good idea. Very poorly executed.
Generic bank advertising. Juniors – stop focussing on the art direction and try to develop analytical skills. Complete the following statement: I should develop a saving habit with U Bank because…?
Horrible art direction. Ouch.
The look is good.
The ad grabs your attention.
Good work.
Interesting, attention grabbing look if you want my $0.02 worth.
(15 years experience at top agencies for what it’s worth)
I think the insight is great and simple – don’t mind the art direction – but just think the last set up (not laughing) isn’t a habit, so it just fizzes at the end. Agree the print is great.
I actually think the last “habit” was the most amusing and insightful. Shows you how subjective the wonderful world of advertising is…
I really liked the art direction.
@3.55 would you base it in reality so it looks like all the other ads on tv?
Geez 10:04pm…after 15 years at ‘top agencies’ you’d think your opinion would be worth more than that.
Agree, 10:35. Most people remain juniors regardless of their years in the ‘business’.
I liked this ad better when it was a Sarah Blasko video.

the “that’s funny” instead of laughing bit is straight outta ‘scrubs’, almost word for word:
