Lowe takes Continental off DDB in Australia

Lowe will take over duties from DDB on the iconic Cup-a-Soup brand and all of Continentalʼs meal creation products.Continental competes against MasterFoods, Nestlé and Campbellʼs. Known as Knorr in many other markets, Continental is one of the largest brands in the Unilever business worldwide and has been with Lowe globally since 2008.

Says Lowe CEO Stephen Pearson – above: “Unilever is planning very aggressive growth for Continental in Australia. Weʼre honoured to be appointed to help create that growth.”

DDB has been working on Continental in Australia and New Zealand since 2004following a competitive local pitch.

Chris Brown, DDB Group Sydney’s managing director, said: “We have enjoyed a strong andsuccessful local partnership with the team at Continental for seven years, during this time we have been involved in transforming the brand and returning it to growth. It’s disappointing that we will no longer be working with the team at Continental, however we accept that these decisions are part and parcel of working with global clients and we wish them all the very best moving forward.”
