Holler Sydney snares BMF associate creative director Richard Morgan as creative director
Leading digital agency Holler Sydney, an IPMG company, today announced the appointment of Richard Morgan to the position of creative director.
Morgan – pictured far left with Holler MD Caitlin Millar-Jack and Mike Hill, founder of Holler Sydney – joins Holler from BMF, where as associate creative director played a leading role in winning many of the agency’s biggest awards over the past six years, helping steer it towards B&T’s Agency of the Decade.
Says Morgan: “I’m really excited to be joining Holler. They haveimpressive clients including Lion Nathan, Pacific Brands and Unilever,all of whom value great creative thinking. I believe great ideas canlive in many media channels, so we won’t be restricting our thinking toany particular set of rules”
Adds Hill: “Richard’s talent furtherexpands Hollers capabilities and supports the growth in our agency.Richard has extensive experience not only in digital, but also bigintegrated and TV campaigns. His hire strengthens our plans to reallybring more strategic and integrated thinking to digital.”
“To me, it’s about pushing beyond technology for its own sake. Withemerging technologies and platforms, I think we’ll see a gold rush-likeopportunity in the coming decade. The people who are best positioned tocombine those platforms with good ideas, humour and storytelling arethose with the most chance of success,” Morgan said.
Morgan has won awards at all the major shows including Gold, Silver andBronze at Cannes, Silver at D&AD, Golds at the One Show, BritishTelevision Awards, Caples, ECHO, London International, Silvers at Clio,5 silvers and 8 bronzes at AWARD.
He’s sat on various award juries and lectured AFA AdSchool and AWARDSchool. He began his copywriting career at The Edge Melbourne, followedby Publicis Mojo Sydney, then Abbott Mead Vickers, BBDO London, beforejoining BMF.
Morgan brings to Holler a diversity of industry exposure, having workedon accounts including Dairy Farmers, Goodman Fielder, Lion Nathan, Meat& Livestock Association, P&O Cruises, IKEA, OPSM, BritishTelecom, Telstra, Toyota, Guinness, Mars, Coca Cola, Pfizer, Gillette,The Economist and more.
Says Morgan: “I can’t wait to start working withMike, Caitlin and the team. We have big plans for Holler and I’mexcited to be a part of it.”
