CAANZ elects DDB’s Sandy Moore as president

SandyMoore.jpegThe Communication AgenciesAssociation of New Zealand (CAANZ) has elected Sandy Moore president of CAANZfor a two-year term. Moore is CEO of DDB Group New Zealand and has been withthe agency for 20 years. 

Moore has had a diverse career that has seen him workwith a number of leading companies and some of the best creative minds in thebusiness: “I’m honoured to take on the position of CAANZpresident and bring my 35 years of industry experience to the table,” says Moore.

“I see my primary role as generating acollective focus to the opportunities and challenges confronting agencies andtheir clients.”

Moore brings proven leadership and extensiveindustry experience, which will be invaluable in further positioning agenciesas strategic partners to client organisations, says CAANZ CEO Rick Osborne.


“The make-up of the CAANZ board and election of new officers reflects members’ desire for a more strategic view of industry issues.”

In a first for CAANZ, Derek Lindsay, Managing Director of Draft FCB Media, becomes the first media agency head to be elected vice president.

CAANZ member agencies collectively represent 95 percent of agency billings in New Zealand, with a combined annual turnover of approximately $1 billion.

The recently elected board is made up of the following members:
