The deal will see Optus provide a subscription to The Australian’s paid newspaper app to customers who buy a Samsung Galaxy Tab from the telco on a 12- or 24-month plan.

The deal, which Optus will market as a newspaper delivered to customers every day for the length of their contract, is seen by the telco as a key point of difference that will attract customers looking to buy a tablet device for Christmas, reports Sinclair.
