Sydney’s Mighty Nice works with Wieden + Kennedy, Portland to create The Girl Effect
Sydney based animation studio, Mighty Nice, worked with Weiden + Kennedy, Portland & Nexus Productions to produce the 2 minute animated awareness movie, called The Girl Effect, an initiative in the solution for eradicating poverty and raising standards of living in the developing world. The animation is a mix of 2D and 3D and is the product of many months work.
The movie is part of a global campaign launched this week, and Mighty Nice is justifiably proud to have been involved with the objective.

Launched this week?
Isn’t this at least 12 months old?
This spot launched this week.
This is good but I saw it at least 18 months ago, maybe even 2 years.
Yeah this is new. Taking previous comment back.
You can’t say it’s not good….but this typographic style of ad is hardly fresh…..insurance companies and Health funds use it alot. As a consequence it feels a bit uninspiring.
The first one was more compelling. We need to say this stuff and the message is told well, maybe a bit overstated and laboured (compared with the first one)… but well done … why is it like that with every part 2? Perhaps because the first time it’s done it’s so unexpected.
