Visa push it for debit via Whybin’s Sydney
Visa has launched a new campaign for the Australian market that aims to educate cardholders to press the ‘credit’ button when using their Visa debit card so they can access the benefits of the Visa network.
To do this Whybin\TBWA\Tequila, Sydney created aspoof of the classic 90s hit ‘Push It’ by Salt N Pepper creating arapping hand that brought to life this instruction. The campaign ranonline and through the use of traditional and digital outdoor.
The integrated campaign includes online and out-of-home (OOH) components in targeted areas – primarily around key retail stores.
Says Visa’s marketing director of Australia and New Zealand, Peter Currey: “We are focusing on the retail and digital environment to remind customers that pushing the credit button when using Visa debit is the correct way to use the card, as it allows cardholders to tap into the benefits of the Visa network.”
Adds Nitsa Lotus, general manager of Whybin\TBWA\Tequila\Sydney: “This campaign presented a unique challenge – we needed to communicate quite a dry message to a young target audience. We chose a simple creative vehicle that was fun and engaging to deliver that message.”

I disagree, it’s good, very simple and memorable. Garry and Matt ‘s final swansong
Just when I thought VB had taken the cake, this little colt comes streaking in from nowhere to take the lead in the WTF??? Stakes.
What next, sweet jesus, what next?…
Made me smile
Rubbish….executionally it has been done to death….crap production values and an awful idea.
Oh fuck. The ‘type the two words’ box below is better. ‘Term theckism’. Well at least that makes you think.
something fun for a dull message
Don’t think those creatives will last at Whybins under new regime
What message exactly, 12:15?
First VB. Then Bitesize. Now this. CB, is aim here is to get rid of the anonymous posters via rage and apoplexy?
craptacular.
Oh Dear, who signed off on this?
The only thing being pushed here is this turd, Hope your watching Brand Agency.
it just reeks of ad propaganda. tell us why we should push credit guys, i’m 24 with a visa debit and this ad isn’t going to get me to push it.
Shouldn’t Sir Russell Tucker the Third esq. get a credit?
It has his trimmings all over it.

The only way I can condone this ad was if it was the 6th round of ideas and you just want to get the damn thing out the door.
Unfortunately Sir Russell ripped that from a whole bunch of other vids. Fingerboarding aint new, and ripping creative just cause it’s been done on youtube but you think nobody’s seen it aint new either.
