Oh dear.
What’s so innovative about a flying ostrich?
Nicely executed though.
Token negative comment because I could do better.
what the??
Hey 12:27 – how come when they do that with flightless birds it’s cute and inspirational, but when Russians do it to a donkey on a beach it ends in tears?
Only Gorilla and dancing eyebrows have really nailed this brief so far. Push on.
Optus
Should have ended like this:

Really liked it.
I thought it was familiar…

Reading the description, I didn’t expect to like it.
But I did.
Much better than the dancing cow.
Good idea badly executed.
Sorry. don’t mean to bag it as it’s still a really nice ad but the polish was not there.
Post was average, cinematography and editing craft was not there either.
Pity.
I hate seeing good unique ideas go backwards. We don’t see that many sold on these days.
I did really like the early Jeff Darling Cadburys work, it was super slick and memorable. Even Toia’s chocolate ad was a lot of fun. Both these guys no how to tart up crap ideas. I’d like to no what Jeff would have done with this. The two best directors in AUS Steve Rodgers and Garth Davis would have really taken it up another level as well.
In defence for the director and Prod company, I’m guessing that the budget was crap, deadline tight and the agency suites left it to the last minute to get signed off meaning all the good DOP’s and post houses would have been tied up on other jobs and all that was left was the middle rung ready to save the day.
I think people forget that craft is very important. it’s what makes bad ideas good, good ideas great, great ideas GOLD!
I really love mr/mrs first comments link.
It’s touching, emotional and tied into the product benefit. And the look on the flightless birds eyes was pure joy, again, tied into the product benefit.
The Ostrich is just a bit silly really.
This sucks just like the crap dog out the window rubbish. Boo Cadbury – you are becoming the same lame advertiser you always were.
No

Actually, Cadbury’s is no longer what I think of when it comes to chocolate.
The German stuff in Aldi is actually quite nice.
Cheap too.
Hey D.C., again the suits (suites?) fault. Maybe it was just a so, so idea that couldn’t be saved no matter how much the production company were pushed to polish it (for no money, no time, no thought for craft by the creative team).
