Ogilvy’s campaign for The Song Room provides music and arts programs to disadvantaged kids
To help raise awareness and the funds to put real musical instruments in the hands of disadvantaged kids, Ogilvy Melbourne and Yello created a campaign out of thin air.
A set of Air Instruments are selling in retail stores and JB Hi-Fi stocks sold out the day after they went on display.
To launch the packs and gather extra funds, Air Busking events have been held in Melbourne. Some 508 registered Melbourne Buskers were approached to take part in the event.
playair.com.au invites puntersto upload video of themselves playing air and collect votes/donationsto win. Before recording your video you might benefit from watchingcarnation kid Mark Holden perform as he talks you through his rock godmoves.

I saw this on Thursday. Long line of mimes pretending to play violins, triangles and harps! Some old dear donated money. Not bad.
Nice work guys
Great idea for a great cause.
Bought the ‘air sax’ last week. Really nice idea. So nice I thought it was a scam, or a charity created by the agency. I mean putting instruments in kid hands? Hardly a big national issue. After a bit of research it seems to be legit so well done. Nice.
My sister showed me this,

it was great fun. We formed a rock band and I played air punk piano.
collected $22. tops
Points for trying hard, but hardly an important issue.
Nice idea. Looks good too.
Good idea. Simple and fun.
I saw the Avante card thing with the air plectrum.
This might win something somewhere.
Where can we see more photos?
Where are they selling those instruments?
@9:02pm Put Playair in search on facebook and there are more photos.
You can purchase air instruments at JB HI FI, or Spotlight if that is more your style and Allans music. Thanks for your support.
nothing wrong with this at all.
