No iPad? Here’s what Lazy Larry Lizard looks like
Veteran creative Graham Nunn has enjoyed amazing success with his Lazy Larry Lizard app he designed for the iPad, which is the #1 app in the kids book category.
To promote the app to those who have yet to get themselves an iPad, Nunn asked a mate to shoot a straight-forward video to upload to YouTube.
Nunn emailed CB: “Strange things happen when you become a client.Suddenly, you don’t give a toss about artsy fartsy ideas and creativecut-through and all that other stuff. You just want to give ’em thefacts, show ’em the product and get out of there. Hit me but don’t shitme. And don’t get me started on production budgets.
“I gotsome old tosser who used to run an agency to shoot this on the stillscamera I had … I mean, he had in his pocket and then edit it oniMovie. Yeah, I know .. and it looks like it. But do you know how manywidgets I gotta shift to make a thousand bucks? And then the tax mantakes
half. So don’t give me production budgets. This cost less tomake than you’d spend on a phone call to the catering truck people. I’mnot interested in awards, just give me sales.
“Anyway, for those who haven’t got an iPad, here’s what my book looks like.”
