The Adveroos defeated 7-5 by the Dutch in the Cannes Beach Football World Cup
The Adveroos (please someone comeup with a better name) turned out to be the surprise team of the tournament,reaching the semi finals of the Cannes Beach Football World Cup, reportsEardrum’s Ralph van Dijk.
“Despite being the oldest team inthe tournament, they played Total Football from start to finish; they totalledthe opposition attackers, they totalled their defenders and completely totalledtheir keepers. No wonder the Mexican team did a runner only moments before thefinal group match,” he says.
“They dispatched the floweryPortuguese in the quarters but in the end it was the determined Dutch thatstopped the Adveroos in their sandy tracks, coming back from 2-0 down to winthe semi-final 7-5. Who needs Titanium? If you want areal display of metal look no further than the Adveroos.”
