GO GINGER BALLS!
yeah pike & the ginger man!!
Well done boys. I love Ginger Pike Beer!!
Bit of a long bow Bob.
What are you doing off site anyway?
Oh Bob!!
You poor little man.
Bob, yep it’s a similar idea.
Am I being stupid? I don’t get it.
Yes I know they’re under water, but why? And yes I know it’s for an under water camera, but why a school class?
No answers of “Yes you are stupid” without and explanation please.
Also:
Bob, this ad is not the same idea as the ones you posted. The only similarity is they’re both under water. Otherwise you may as well pull out the Speedo ads from the early 90’s as well.
Just when I thought this WWF scandal had stopped this style of advertising…
btw – wheres the gutter?
wouldn’t they be holding their breath and wouldn’t their hair be swishing and swaying about? IT LOOKS LIKE THEY’RE IN AN EMPTY POOL (oops Caps lock) and my camera can take a shot in that just fine. so, nice idea but excecution could be better
Naff.
dear confused,
yes you are stupid.
No explanation necessary.
Confused, yes you are stupid.
Explanation: maybe you have sustained a bad head injury, maybe it was a weak sperm or maybe it was the education system, it could be a number of things.
confused, I don’t think you are stupid at all.
I think you are dam genius!
You are so smart, I question why you are even in advertising at all.
Not the same idea. But the executions are definitely similar.
I guess the answer is that if you were ever to do it, that would be the camera to use.
Or maybe it’s all about not taking things too literally.
It’s a camera for underwater. It takes normal shots but underwater.
I don’t know. What I do know is that a clique thought it was good.
Is it now compulsory that primary school parents use a full can of hair spray on their kids for the school photo? I hope they’re ozone friendly cans mum.
I know. It’s a swimming school.
12.01 it was probably a half page you how it is in a recession, so no gutter necessary
Ball juice! Laté with two thanks Bob.
school, school of fish?
Quarter page ‘back’ of Manly daily?
4/10 for simply being an average ad with no real insight or benefit other than the obvious first thought.
Oh wait, it’s a water proof camera so lets do an ad where we shoot stuff underwater…great for when you shoot a school photo in a pool or a wedding underwater.
I love to see what you guys do with a brief for Goodyear where the prop is: Sticks to the road.
Joke!
So the idea for the under water camera is:
take a photo of something taken underwater, that’s not normally taken under water.
Now I’m just confused as to why that’s an award winning idea.
My testicles are more award winning than that.
Pretty average retouching, but underwater is a hard one. The kid in the back right pissed in the pool as well.
Guys, they used kids because it ran in the Manly Public school gazette.
God some people are idiots.
Aussie advertising sucks balls.
If this is the future industry, you all may as well spend more time talking shit here.
Rubbish
My sentiments exactly 2.42am.
I can just imagine the hours spent scrutinising the retouching. Making the poor retoucher change this by two mm, change that by 2%. All the while it’s fucked from the very start. The art direction is amateur.
Oh my God, it’s painful to think about.
You’re all missing the point.
It’s a full-bleed image of something, with a tiny product shot and a Sony logo. Therefore it is good.
So much jealousy here.
What hole do you guys come out of?
Can you please go back in?
Why is this industry fucked?
Because we refer to inexperienced practitioners as young guns.
They are neophytes learning the craft.
Rather than looking up to them, they should be looking up to us.
I couldn’t care less what some young upstart thinks is good.
Is this ad about swimming pools?
This is so bad that I actually bothered to comment on how bad it is.
