BBDO leads OZ/NZ pack on Clio Shortlist
There are only a few Australian and New Zealand agencies with entries shortlisted at Clio, with CB’s New Zealand Agency of the Year Colenso BBDO Auckland leading the way with four shortlisted, followed by CB’s Australian Agency of the Year Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne and CumminsNitro, Brisbane with three each, and two apiece to Clemenger BBDO Wellington and The Hallway/Happy Soldiers, Sydney.
Noah Regan, now at Three Drunk Monkeys, Sydney, was shortlisted for VW Golf ‘Enjoy the everyday’ (which also picked up 2 silvers and a bronze at The BTAA’s recently and was also a One Show first cut) and the Marmite Snacks print campaign (which recently got Grand Prix in the Graphis annual) that he did at DDB London last year.
Jay Furby’s print campaign for Yellow Pages Egypt, created while he did a stint at Grey Dubai, also made the cut. Eight executions of the same campaign were shortlisted at Cannes last year and it is also lined up for a Pencil at One Show Design next month.

Not much. Pretty poor showing.
What a poor result overall….what were our jugdes doing?
Probably more a case of agencies not entering, saving their cash for the other ones…
go look at the list for TV. all the usual suspects are there. CPB, BBH, WK, Goodby but then you look at the short list for public service. suddenly you see the not so hot agencies are taking the prizes. the far flung offices of large networks, small start ups etc.
Good old Furby, even when he’s freelancing he picks up metal.
GO FURBINATOR…!
Get back to work Jay and if you want to remain anonymous… stop using caps.
Same old scams – same old names – same old agencies.
Binoculars. Homeless shelters. Azheimers. Drink driving.
Same OLD shit.
And do you really need the fucking yellow pages to find a green grocer?
Let’s see if ANY of this crap makes it into D&AD.
Simple Simon missed out.
Hey Simon,
$200 says you got fuck all this year.
Oh, and by the way, the entire history of Yellow Pages advertising shows how you can use the ‘fucking yellow pages to find a green grocer’ or a furniture remover, or a ..blah blah blah
A lot of public service on that list.
Shows that Australia is a country that cares.
or creatives looking for easy wickets.
In Print I see: Clorox Food Wrap ‘Cheese’ DDB Sydney Pty. Limited Ultimo AUSTRALIA on the list. But not listed here.
6:51…. ooops…. that’s now fixed.
Is that the same Clorox Food Wrap ‘Cheese’ ad that was entered into the MX ‘proactive ads that never ran’ competition a year or so ago?
