VML Sydney wins Silver and Bronze at LIA 2026 for 1001 Optometry ‘Magnif-eye’ in Digital

VML Sydney has picked up Silver and Bronze Statues at the 2026 London International Awards (LIA), with the Digital and Creators & Social Platforms, Evolution, Gaming and Creative Use of Data, Creativity in Media, and B2B and Business Transformation juries announcing their winners as on-site judging in Las Vegas nears its close.

 

Australia’s tally from the latest round of results stands at one Silver and one Bronze.

Digital and Creators & Social Platforms

VML Sydney won Silver in Health & Pharma for 1001 Optometry ‘Magnif-eye’, and Bronze in AI-Powered Experience for the same campaign.

Led by Jury President Menno Kluin, formerly Global Chief Creative Officer, Iris Worldwide, the Digital jury awarded three Gold, eight Silver and five Bronze Statues. Louise McQuat, Global Executive Creative Director, Akcelo, represented Australia on the jury.

In Creators & Social Platforms, the jury awarded a Grand LIA, seven Gold, 13 Silver and 11 Bronze Statues. The Grand LIA went to DAVID London for Dove Hair ‘Dove r/eal reviews’.

Evolution, Gaming and Creative Use of Data

Led by Jury President Marco Venturelli, Global Chief Creative Officer/CEO, Leo, Chief Creative Officer/CEO, Publicis Conseil, and Chief Creative Officer, Publicis Groupe France, the Evolution jury awarded a Grand LIA, three Gold, three Silver and two Bronze Statues. Australian expat Ben Williams, Global Chief Creative Officer, DEPT, and New Zealand expat Maria Devereux, Executive Creative Director/Head of Innovation, Accenture Song LA, served on the jury.

The Evolution Grand LIA went to VML UK for KitKat ‘The KitKat Heist’, adding to the Grand LIA the campaign won in Non-Traditional.

In Gaming, a new category for 2026, the jury awarded a Grand LIA, three Gold, two Silver and two Bronze Statues. The first Gaming Grand LIA went to Electronic Arts, London for Battlefield ‘Only In Battlefield’.

In Creative Use of Data, the jury awarded a Grand LIA, one Gold, four Silver and two Bronze Statues. The Grand LIA went to VML Poland, Warsaw for Wisła Kraków FC ‘Lucky Fan Index’, which also won the inaugural Sports Grand LIA.

Creativity in Media

Led by Jury President Dino Myers-Lamptey, Founder, The Barber Shop, London, the Creativity in Media jury awarded a Grand LIA, 11 Gold, seven Silver and eight Bronze Statues. Lee-Ann Morris, CEO, MBM Auckland, served on the jury.

The Grand LIA went to VML UK for KitKat The KitKat Heist ‘PR Statement’ and ‘TikTok Filter’.

B2B and Business Transformation

Led by Jury President Julie Kang, Founder/CEO, Flux AI Asia Seoul, the B2B jury awarded a Grand LIA, two Gold, three Silver and five Bronze Statues. The Grand LIA went to NORD, Stockholm for SKF ‘The Faroe Islands Space Program’.

In Business Transformation, the jury awarded a Grand LIA, two Gold, three Silver and four Bronze Statues. The Grand LIA went to Ogilvy Singapore for Vaseline ‘Vaseline Originals’.
