Support Act urges Aussies to ‘Keep Aussie Music On Rotation’ for AusMusic T-Shirt Day in new campaign via BRING
Support Act has launched ‘Keep Aussie Music On Rotation’, a new laundromat-themed creative platform via BRING (Universal Music for Brands), for AusMusic T-Shirt Day 2026, with the combined backing and nationwide support of Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA), alongside the national networks of ABC Radio and triple j.
Building on the success of last year’s CRA industry-wide radio support, Southern Cross Austereo (Hit & Triple M), NOVA Entertainment, ARN (KIIS & Gold), ACE Radio Network, and Tapt Media will deploy high-frequency on-air inventory, live talent reads, and network-wide activations leading into Thursday, 26 November 2026.
Foundational partner, triple j, also returns mobilising a national youth music audience and driving support across the wider ABC network.
To drive this year’s nationwide push, Support Act has appointed music creative agency BRING (Universal Music for Brands) to lead creative direction and production, while independent communications firm Sound Story returns in an expanded scope to manage the integrated media campaign execution, PR, and ambassador framework.
Conceptualised by BRING, the 2026 creative campaign — “Keep Aussie Music On Rotation” — introduces a nostalgia-heavy, laundromat-themed visual world that transforms band merchandise into an ongoing charitable action.
The platform bridges the gap between everyday fan habits and crisis relief: using the rinse-and-spin cycle of a band tee as a visual metaphor, every donation to Support Act represents a “coin in the slot” to keep Australian music and its essential workforce spinning.
Says Lizzie Young, Chief Executive Officer at Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA): “Following the impact we achieved together in our first year, our member networks across metro and regional Australia are proud to back AusMusic T-Shirt Day again, using our airwaves to turn listener passion into tangible support for the artists and crews behind the music.”
Says Lachlan Macara, Head of triple j and Double J: “triple j remains as passionate as ever about championing Australian music, supporting local artists and the industry around them. We’ll be getting around all the incredible music made at home this November during Ausmusic Month, helping Australian artists connect with the audiences they deserve, and look forward to rounding out the celebrations with Ausmusic T-Shirt Day and Support Act for the 13th year.”
Says Clive Miller, Chief Executive Officer at Support Act: “Having the commercial radio sector unite behind AusMusic T-Shirt Day alongside triple j and the ABC gives our message unprecedented scale. With music workers continuing to face severe financial and mental health pressures, having the support of both CRA’s and the ABC’s nationwide reach alongside BRING’s new creative platform and Sound Story’s campaign rollout, we’re powered by the ultimate engine to help raise much needed funds for Support Act..”
Says Brooke Pilton, General Manager of Partnerships, at BRING: “We wanted to build a campaign world that feels fresh, vibrant, and inherently scalable across broadcast and digital. The laundromat setting gives radio hosts, brands, and fans a fun, visual shorthand: wash your tee, wear it with pride, and drop a coin in to keep Aussie music on rotation.”
Says Jake Challenor, Managing Partner at Sound Story: “Scaling a national campaign across 260+ radio stations, major corporate workplaces, and dozens of artist ambassadors requires a seamless campaign architecture. By aligning our broadcast partners, CRA, triple j and the ABC, and BRING’s creative under a unified push — ‘Wear, Share, Donate, Repeat’ — we’re turning media reach into real-world impact for music workers doing it tough.”
AusMusic T-Shirt Day is proudly supported by founding partner ARIA.
In addition, American Apparel and Love Police return as partners in 2026, generously donating all shirt production and printing costs for the 2026 Limited-Edition T-Shirt Collection, ensuring maximum proceeds directly benefit Support Act and music workers in need.
Pre-sales for the official 2026 Limited-Edition T-Shirt Collection open today at ausmusictshirtday.org.au.
