Hay Street appoints humann. as communications partner following competitive pitch
Independent creative communications agency humann. has been appointed as the communications partner for Hay Street, securing the account following a competitive multi-agency pitch.
humann. will lead an integrated PR program amplifying Hay Street’s position as Sydney’s most culturally relevant food and entertainment destination.
The appointment will see the agency deliver an always-on earned media strategy and creator program that generates continual reasons for Sydneysiders to visit, framing Hay as a living platform for food, culture, nightlife and discovery.
Candaice O’ Brien, GM of Marketing said: “We have an incredible opportunity to redefine what a hospitality destination can be. We weren’t looking for a traditional PR agency; we wanted a partner that understood culture, creators and how modern audiences discover places to eat, meet and spend time.”
“humann. stood out for its ability to position Hay Street as an evolving cultural platform rather than simply a venue. Their understanding of hospitality, entertainment and earned storytelling made them the ideal partner to help bring that vision to life.”
Seon Peberdy, General Manager at humann., said: “The world’s best hospitality destinations never stand still. They’re constantly evolving, surprising people and giving them a reason to come back. Hay Street already has the ingredients. Our role is to build the stories that keep it culturally relevant and make it one of Sydney’s most talked-about destinations, every week of the year.”
humann. is an independent, multi-discipline creative communications agency built on a deep understanding of human behaviour. Driven by a genuine obsession with what makes people think, feel and act, the agency creates work that resonates, influences and earns attention.
Headquartered in Sydney, humann. delivers integrated expertise for some of Australia’s and the world’s most recognised brands, including Shark Beauty, the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Wesfarmers Health, Bumble, Electrolux, Westinghouse, AEG and Pepper Money.
