UNSW College appoints Adhesive

Independent, AI-informed communications agency Adhesive has been appointed by UNSW College to support the launch of its new Applied Degrees offering, reinforcing the agency’s expertise in storytelling at the intersection of skills, education and workforce change.

The appointment taps into the breadth of Adhesive’s communications offering, spanning media relations, corporate profiling, event management, influencer engagement and AI optimisation.

UNSW College’s Applied Degrees are a new suite of three-year bachelor’s degrees blending academic excellence with practical, industry-designed learning, built to prepare graduates with the skills employers value most in today’s rapidly changing world. Designed to bridge the gap between vocational education and traditional degrees, the qualifications are co-designed with industry and backed by UNSW Sydney, the world’s most employable Australian university.

For Adhesive, a certified B Corp, the appointment was a clear fit for the agency’s purpose-led approach to communications.

Says Mike Maurice, MD and Founder, Adhesive: “Adhesive has spent years crafting and sharing stories about skills, employability and the changing world of work, making this partnership with UNSW College a natural fit. It’s an incredible opportunity to help this education leader launch Applied Degrees, a category-disrupting offering that is creating new pathways to meaningful careers at a time of enormous change.”

The partnership builds on Adhesive’s experience in workforce and skills communications, including as the retained communications agency for employment platform SEEK, where it has shaped conversations around technology, skills, employability and Australia’s evolving labour market.

Adhesive’s work with UNSW College will also engage the agency’s GEO product offering, which integrates AI intelligence with strategy and storytelling, built to drive brand visibility where consumers are increasingly making decisions.

Maurice adds: “We are passionate about the importance of continuously learning, always being curious and prepared for what’s next, something shared by UNSW College. In this complex and critical conversation, taking a full-channel and AI-informed communications approach has never been more important. We’re looking forward to working together to raise the profile of this unique offering for Australia’s upskillers, career changers and school leavers.”
