MCMPR appoints Sarah Young as Managing Director ahead of 30-year milestone

Leading Sydney-based fashion, beauty, lifestyle and consumer communications agency MCMPR has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Sarah Young as Managing Director, marking a significant step in the agency’s continued evolution as it approaches its 30-year anniversary later this year.

The appointment reflects MCMPR’s long-term growth strategy as Founder and CEO Marie-Claude Mallat continues to evolve the agency’s leadership structure and integrated service offering to meet the changing needs of brands in an increasingly dynamic communications landscape.

Since its founding in 1996, MCMPR has built a reputation as one of Australia’s leading communications agencies, partnering with globally recognised and emerging brands across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, retail and consumer sectors. Looking ahead, the agency is focused on expanding its strategic capabilities, investing in talent and delivering integrated communications solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes for clients.

Young joins MCMPR with more than 20 years’ experience across public relations, communications and integrated marketing. She has held Managing Director roles at leading Australian agencies, where she led high-performing teams and delivered impactful campaigns for local and international consumer and lifestyle brands.

As Managing Director, Young will work alongside Mallat and the agency’s leadership team to guide the agency through its next stage of growth, overseeing operations, client services, team development and business strategy while continuing to strengthen MCMPR’s position as one of Australia’s leading integrated communications agencies.

Says Mallat: “Approaching our 30-year milestone is an important moment to reflect on how far we’ve come, but even more importantly, where we’re headed. Sarah brings an incredible breadth of experience leading high-performing agencies. She has a strategic mindset, exceptional commercial acumen and a collaborative leadership style that made her a natural fit from day one. Together with our teams, we’re building on MCMPR’s strong foundations while evolving our capabilities to meet the future of communications and the changing needs of our clients.”

Young said the opportunity to join MCMPR came at an exciting point in the agency’s journey: “MCMPR has built an incredible reputation over three decades for delivering exceptional work and lasting client partnerships. It’s an exciting time to join the business as it continues to evolve. I’m looking forward to working alongside Marie-Claude and the wider team to strengthen our strategic and data-informed capabilities, foster innovation and help shape the agency’s next chapter.”
