Charles Sturt University appoints This is Flow as new media agency

Independent media agency This is Flow has been appointed to manage all paid media strategy, planning and buying for Charles Sturt University following a competitive tender process.

The appointment sees This Is Flow take over the account from the incumbent, Dentsu Qld, and partner with one of Australia’s leading regional universities as it continues to strengthen its position as a provider of accessible, high-quality education for students across Australia.

Charles Sturt University is the largest tertiary education institution in regional Australia, with more than 40,000 current students studying on campus and online. The university operates major campuses across regional New South Wales including Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga, as well as specialist campuses in Canberra and Parramatta.  The University has three Faculties, delivering courses in Arts and Education; Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences; and Science and Health.

Says Brooke Thompson, Associate Director, Brand and Performance Marketing, Charles Sturt University: “This is Flow consistently demonstrated strong strategic thinking and the cultural understanding required to effectively engage future students. Charles Sturt University is excited to work with the Flow team to ensure the opportunities we offer students, at both our regional campuses and online, reach as many eyes and ears as possible.”

Says Jimmy Hyett, CEO, This is Flow: “We were instantly drawn to the culture and passion of the CSU team, and we knew from day one this is a client we would love to work with. Their strategic brief and business ambitions align perfectly to the Flow skill set and I can’t wait to see the level of growth we can create together.”

This win follows a host of new clients joining the growing independent agency – including the Cranky Health, Amazon Ring, Fuji Film, Panasonic, and Opal Health Care as well as the agency retaining KingGee and Hard Yakka brands following a competitive pitch for Workwear Group.

Flow’s partnership with Charles Sturt commences at the end of July with activity rolling out from August.
