Cancer Council Victoria unveils ‘Hope Discovered Daily’ via The Ministry of Lateral Thoughts

Cancer Council Victoria has unveiled a new brand platform ‘Hope discovered daily’, developed in collaboration with its in-house brand team and Ben Coulson’s The Ministry of Lateral Thoughts.

The campaign aims to reframe the conversation around cancer by focusing on the progress being made through research and the everyday moments that become possible because of it.

The hero film centres on a young cancer survivor returning to school after treatment, using a single continuous shot to capture the significance of an ordinary milestone. Rather than focusing on diagnosis or treatment, the campaign celebrates the future that research helps make possible.

Coulson told CB: “Cancer is such a fucker, it’s hard to find any hope in the subject. The truth is, technology and research by organisations like CCV are making a very real difference to survival rates. More people than ever before are beating it. We wanted this new brand platform to reflect that insight in a simple relatable way.”

The campaign is rolling out across YouTube, out-of-home, radio and digital display.
