TwentyTwo Digital appoints Ashton Tuckerman to Managing Director following record growth

Brisbane-based marketing agency TwentyTwo Digital has announced a new executive leadership structure following its strongest year on record, with Ashton Tuckerman (far left) appointed Managing Director and Sarah Pelecanos (centre) stepping into the role of Founder as she expands her focus across new strategic projects.

The leadership transition follows a standout FY26 for the agency, with revenue growing 32% year-on-year, a series of major client wins across healthcare, not-for-profit, retail and professional services, and significant investment in senior talent.

The executive leadership team has also expanded with Head of Digital Mikayla Nicol (right) formally joining the agency’s Executive Leadership Team alongside Tuckerman and Pelecanos.

As part of the agency’s continued evolution, TwentyTwo Digital has also welcomed Holly Grindrod (pictured below) as its first-ever Head of Client Services.

Grindrod joins from fellow Brisbane agency Media Merchants, where she led client relationships for brands including Amart, Zarraffa’s Coffee, Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse, Great Southern Bank and BSR Group.

Tuckerman says the appointments represent a natural next step for the business: “We’ve been intentionally building a business that isn’t reliant on any one person, and our new leadership structure reflects that work. It gives us the capacity to keep growing without compromising the quality of thinking or service our clients have come to expect from us.

“Our growth hasn’t happened by accident: it’s come from investing in great people and creating an environment where talented people can do their best work. Holly and Mikayla are a huge part of this next chapter and continuing to build the kind of workplace people are actually excited to come into on a Monday morning.”

Pelecanos says the transition allows her to spend more time on strategic projects while remaining closely connected to the agency she established in 2020: “One of the most rewarding parts of building a business is creating opportunities for others to step up.

“Ashton has played a pivotal role in TwentyTwo’s growth over the past two years, helping shape the business into what it is today. This appointment recognises both the impact she’s already had and where we’re heading next.”

The expanded leadership team comes as TwentyTwo Digital continues to strengthen its position as a strategy-led agency, partnering with organisations to deliver marketing grounded in data, creativity and commercial thinking.

With a strengthened executive team and continued momentum, TwentyTwo Digital enters FY27 focused on building one of Australia’s leading independent marketing agencies.
