Wildlings campaign selected for global ACT Responsible Exhibition at Cannes Lions
Wildlings has been selected to feature in the ACT Responsible Exhibition 2026 at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, with its campaign for Perth Wildlife Hospital showcased under the exhibition’s biodiversity and marine conservation themes.
The selection places a Western Australian campaign, created for a local wildlife organisation, alongside purpose-led creative work from around the world.
The recognition comes fresh off Preserve Native Wildlife being awarded Campaign Brief WA’s Best of Year in Press & Print, and Gold in Design at November’s PADC awards.
Created for Perth Wildlife Hospital, the campaign is built around the duality of the word “preserve”. On one hand, it speaks to the hospital’s mission to protect, treat, rehabilitate and release injured, orphaned and displaced native animals. On the other, it carries a more confronting meaning: without support, native wildlife may only be preserved as specimens, memories or museum pieces.
The ACT Responsible Exhibition celebrates creative work from around the world that raises awareness, inspires action and contributes to positive social and environmental change. The inclusion of Preserve Native Wildlife recognises the campaign’s role in highlighting the importance of native wildlife protection and the work Perth Wildlife Hospital does every day.
“Being invited to showcase our work at Cannes Lions through the ACT Responsible Exhibition is a real honour,” said Matt Wilson and Pat Lennox, CD’s at Wildlings. “It gives a Western Australian campaign, and a local conservation issue, the chance to be seen in a truly international forum.”
“Perth Wildlife Hospital does incredibly important work caring for injured, sick and displaced native animals. The campaign was built around a simple thought: the best way to preserve native wildlife is to keep it alive. We wanted to make that message feel immediate, memorable and impossible to ignore.”
Public voting for the ACT Responsible Exhibition opens on 19 June 2026 and closes on Wednesday 24 June 2026 at 6:00 PM. Visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition and vote for the campaigns that inspire them most.
The campaign will be featured both in the physical ACT Responsible Exhibition at Cannes Lions and in the virtual exhibition online, where visitors can explore selected work from agencies and organisations across the globe.
The ACT Responsible Exhibition will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the LIONS Impact Hub & ACT Responsible Exhibition in the Debussy Foyer of the Palais des Festivals.
The campaign will also be part of Open House for Good on Wednesday 24 June from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, a public event organised in partnership with IAA Global and LIONS.
The ACT Tributes to Creativity & Champions of Good celebration will take place on Thursday 25 June at 5:00 PM at RTL Beach, recognising creative work and changemakers contributing to the common good.
