Phil Leece joins BRX as Creative Director in Sydney

CB can reveal that independent agency BRX has appointed Phil Leece as Creative Director in its Sydney office, where he will lead creative output across key clients including Optus.

Leece brings extensive experience across Australia’s retail and retail-adjacent creative landscape, having worked across major network and specialist agencies throughout his career.

He began his career at Clemenger BBDO Sydney working across accounts including Lotto, Lion Nathan, Pepsi and Pizza Hut, before moving into a smaller retail-focused agency and later part-owning a specialist shop working with clients such as Samsung, Daewoo Automotive and Bridgestone.

He later joined Ideaworks Sydney as Deputy Creative Director, working across Westfield, BBQs Galore, Freedom Furniture, BWS and BIG W, before moving to M+C Saatchi Sydney, where he created campaigns for Woolworths, Commonwealth Bank, Optus, Pizza Hut, Qantas, BWS and Lexus. Leece was then part of the founding team at Greenhouse, Woolworth’s bespoke client-agency model.

Leece has also been recognised across D&AD, Cannes Lions, AWARD, The One Show and Spikes Asia.

BRX was founded by Ted Horton, Bridget Cleary and Marty Hungerford.
