Perth content agency Lush set to close its doors after 18 years, on a post-PADC Skulls high

After 18 years of growing a company and riding all the highs and lows of this industry, the directors at Perth-based content marketing and video production agency Lush, have collectively decided to close the doors as of December 19th, 2025.

“We grew this company over 18 years by producing the work that we love,” says Alex Lush, Director and Executive Producer. “But, as a group of senior producers, creatives, and strategists, we all wanted to get back to our passions—rather than managing, what became, a bigger-than-intended business structure.”

This change comes off the back of an agency high, with the core team awarded a gold, two silvers, and two bronzes Skulls at this year’s PADC Skulls awards. These wins were all thanks to agency collaborations that will continue well into the future as the Lush team takes on new ventures.

“By letting go of Lush, we are now able to keep our focus on the work and have more autonomy to be driven by our craft,” continues Lush.

“We started as a really nimble creative team and that’s what we always wanted to retain. This change just gets us back there for the next season.”

In 2026, Alex Lush and Gavin Carroll will focus on film production under their own entities: Carroll as Motion Meets Still and Lush under Alex Lush Productions. The team will work with a list of long-term clients like APM, People Kind Group, BCI, and Liontown.

Davide Boscolo, Head of Motion Design and VFX, will continue to work independently, producing meticulous 3D and 2D animation campaigns with key collaborators like Nani Creative.

Clare Reid, Lush’s recent CEO and Head of Communications will be launching her own entity, Longform Creative, in July 2026 alongside the writing and strategy team.

“We won’t stop being a team, we work too well together,” added Gavin Carroll, Director and Post-production Lead. “It’ll be a big change for everyone but we’re ready to get back to more art and less accountant meetings.”
