WA’s leading creatives celebrated at the 2025 Diamond Skulls during PADC awards night
The 2025 Diamond Skulls winners were announced on Friday night at the Perth Mess Hall during the 36th annual PADC Awards, following the conclusion of the PADC Skull Awards. Honouring the individuals who take a leading role in creating the most inspiring commercial creative work in WA. The Diamond Skulls are judged on a portfolio of work, rather than a one-off piece.
Rare creative’s Simon Mullins and Rob Mead took home Copywriter of the Year and Art Director of the Year respectively, with Mullins also receiving the prestigious overall Diamond Skull.
Kate Higson (Block) was named Designer of the Year; Corey Battersby (The Brand Agency) won Emerging Talent of the Year; directing duo cowboys (Clockwork Films) took home Director of the Year; Gemma Hall (Beautiful Pictures) was awarded Producer of the Year; Kye Howard (Freo Creative) won Digital Talent of the Year; Matt Oakley (303 MullenLowe) received Strategist of the Year; Stef King was named Photographer of the Year; and Gatecrasher’s Magda Wood and Ben Wright were honoured as Client Service Person of the Year and Editor of the Year, respectively.
Introduced for the first time last year, The Mettle Skull was awarded to Simon Lamplough from Kitchen Warehouse, Campaign Brief WA’s current Advertiser of the Year.
