Laura Nice named CEO of PHD Australia; Sian Whitnall becomes sole CEO of OMD Australia

Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Australia has announced internal CEO appointments at two of its agencies as it continues to build future-fit capabilities for clients, with Laura Nice becoming CEO of PHD Australia and Sian Whitnall as sole CEO at OMD Australia.

Nice and Whitnall most recently served together as Co-CEOs of OMD Australia where they have propelled the agency forward, delivering double digit revenue growth, industry-leading client satisfaction, and continued momentum over their tenure, in one of the most competitive media markets.

In her new role, Nice will continue to propel PHD Australia’s growth and innovation, strengthening the agency’s ability to deliver progressive, high-performing solutions for clients. Having co-led OMD for the past four years, Nice brings a wealth of experience in driving growth, innovation, and excellence for clients and the business. She is known for her deep client relationships and ability to translate ambition into meaningful business outcomes.

Nice succeeds Mark Jarrett, who will move to a group level role to be announced in the coming weeks.

At the same time, Whitnall’s proven leadership and deep business acumen make her the ideal leader to continue OMD’s distinguished legacy of client success, recognised as Australia’s number one media agency by RECMA for over a decade. Sian’s focus will be on unlocking new levels of creativity and collaboration, co-creating standout brand experiences with OMD’s clients and ensuring the agency remains at the forefront of innovation and growth for clients.

“These appointments reflect OMG’s commitment to delivering market-leading service and outcomes for our clients as we continue to evolve our business and capabilities as part of Omnicom Oceania,” says OMG Australia COO Kristiaan Kroon. “Laura, and Sian exemplify our culture of nurturing talent and building leaders who prioritise client success. As OMG enters an exciting phase of growth and expansion, the formation of Omnicom Oceania will further enhance our ability to deliver scale and unlock new opportunities for our clients, people, and partners. We remain focused on shaping the future of marketing in collaboration with our clients, building more effective, transparent, and growth-driven partnerships powered by exceptional leaders and teams.”
