Mint Films expands capabilities with introduction of ‘Collaborators’
Mint Films has announced Jolyon Watkins, Laura Scrivano and Neil Sharma as the first directors to be part of its ‘Collaborators’ arm – a new initiative dedicated to emerging and specialist talent.
Collaborators will exist alongside Mint’s current roster of directors, and be engaged selectively on a project-by-project basis.
“Our Collaborators aren’t simply additions, but creative partners who share our commitment to bold ideas, memorable storytelling, and our genuine love for the craft of film,” says Andrew Seaton, Executive Producer.
“The Collaborators initiative gives us the flexibility to support agencies and clients across a wider range of needs, ensuring we always have the right voices and skills at the table for every request,” says Matt Samperi, Executive Producer. “This model allows us to continue pairing incredibly talented directors with the right projects, bolstered by the creative, collaborative and reliable full-service production support that Mint is known for.”
The inaugural Collaborators include acclaimed automotive director Jolyon Watkins, BAFTA Award winner Laura Scrivano and International Emmy Award winner Neil Sharma.
“Jolyon, Laura and Neil stood out for their passion, proven expertise, and alignment with Mint’s values of creativity and collaboration. Chemistry was also very important for us – they each share the collaborative spirit that defines how we work, and are also just fun and lovely people, giving us complete confidence they were the right fit,” says Jordan Smith, Head of New Business.
The son of a car dealer, Watkins grew up with a passion for motorsport and movies that’s driven his career from recreating Mad Max’s iconic chase sequences to directing global campaigns for Porsche, Audi, BMW, Toyota, Honda and more.

“We are incredibly excited to be partnering with these three directors, and this is just the beginning,” says Samperi. “At Mint we’re all about stories fuelled by collaboration that are crafted with care – it’s literally written on our wall. So we’ll continue to grow the team not only to suit the styles and niches that our clients desire, but to help us keep bringing creativity, craft and collaboration to every project.”
