Queensland Airports appoints Akcelo as full-service agency

Akcelo has been appointed agency of record for Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) following a competitive national pitch.

QAL operates Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa and Longreach airports, which together handle around eight million passengers a year.

Akcelo will be charged with handling brand, strategy, creative, design, digital, social and events duties across all four airports.

Akcelo had previously worked with QAL on a website refresh before being invited to pitch for the full account, which it won in June.

The appointment follows QAL’s acquisition by KKR and the Skip Essential Infrastructure Fund earlier this year.
