Revolver’s Steve Rogers takes out Director of the Year title at CICLOPE Festival 2025; Revolver, FINCH + Bear Meets Eagle On Fire named winners

Australian entrants had a big night at the 2025 CICLOPE Awards held in Berlin last night, led by Revolver’s Steve Rogers being named Director of the Year. Rogers and Revolver x Biscuit Filmworks also scored the coveted Production Grand Prix for Squarespace’s A Tale As Old As Website.

 

The campaign added two Golds in Production – Campaign and Production – Direction (61–120 Seconds), plus a Bronze for Production – Styling & Costume Design. Revolver also picked up a Bronze in Production – Production Design for Telstra’s ‘The Shoemaker’.

FINCH collected two Silvers and a Bronze, including a Silver in Ideas – Film (61–120 Seconds) and a Bronze in Special Section – Low Budget for the New Zealand Herpes Foundation’s ‘Make New Zealand the Best Place in the World to Have Herpes’. FINCH also won Silver in Production – Direction (60 Seconds and Under) for Telstra’s ‘Four Legged Friend’.

Bear Meets Eagle On Fire rounded out the Aussie winners with a Silver in Special Section – Branded Comedy for Telstra’s ‘Block Villains – Scamageddon’, and a Bronze in Production – Campaign for Telstra’s ‘Silent Films’.

Alongside the 47 Gold, 56 Silver, and 76 Bronze trophies awarded to work setting the benchmark for excellence across film, advertising and digital production, the Jury named 6 Grand Prix Winners:

This year’s CICLOPE Awards Jury was a panel of top industry talent, comprised of 200 experts from around the world. They deliberated over more than 1,800 entries across 44 categories, before the Executive Jury met in Berlin to cast their final votes.
