Paul Bradbury Steps Down After Nearly 20 Years with TBWA Australia and New Zealand

TBWA Australia + New Zealand President and Regional CEO Paul Bradbury has officially stepped down, marking the end of a chapter spanning close to 20 years with the network – including the past decade at the helm of the ANZ business.

Bradbury’s departure follows Omnicom’s announcement earlier today of the formation of Omnicom Oceania, a new regional leadership structure uniting its creative, media, PR, performance and production capabilities across Australia and New Zealand. The new structure will be led by Nick Garrett, who has been appointed CEO of Omnicom Oceania, reporting directly to global CEO John Wren.

Bradbury has served as President and CEO of the TBWA collective across Australia and New Zealand for the past 10 years, overseeing sustained growth, major client partnerships, and the creation of several agency brands across the network including the establishment of Telstra’s bespoke agency +61, in partnership with Bear Meets Eagle on Fire and OMD. Bradbury also founded Eleven in 2012, a move that cemented TBWA’s presence in the PR and earned space.

Joining TBWA Sydney in 2006, Bradbury rose through the ranks to become CEO of the Sydney group by 2011. In 2014, following a standout year in which the agency was named AWARD Agency of the Year, Effie Effectiveness Agency of the Year, and Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Australian Agency of the Year, he was promoted to Regional CEO of TBWA Australia and New Zealand.

Earlier in his career, he held roles at M&C Saatchi, BBH London and McCann Sydney.

Campaign Brief has contacted TBWA and Bradbury for comment. More on this in the coming weeks.
